Overview

Underpinning our approach to this series is the notion that “leadership” and “integrity” go hand-in-hand. There are many definitions of leadership, but most of them boil down to that of an individual being able to engage and inspire others to follow him or her in implementing a set of ideas or activities. Within the concept of “inspiration” are creativity, empowerment, engagement, fairness, social benefit, higher purpose, transformative change, moral and ethical values…in short, integrity.

Lifelong Leaders have to lead, and manage, businesses in a world stifled by regulation, red tape and corruption. Even the best-intentioned companies and leaders are forced to make facilitation payments. It is a world of unfair competitive practices and an unlevel playing field.

As leaders, how can you preserve your company’s reputation and your personal values in a corrupt business environment? How can you do business with integrity – and without hypocrisy? How can your company contribute to creating a more fair, equitable and transparent environment?

Objective

The objective of this interactivee workshop is to help the participants increase their capacity to: 1) understand the definition of business integrity, its relationship to leadership, and why it is important today 2) bring core values, ethics, and good governance into the company’s – and its leadership’s’ – way of operating 3) deal with unethical business practices within the company and in its markets 4) contribute to strengthening business integrity in their local markets and broader society.

In summary, the participants will emerge from the Masterclass series equipped to take on the ethical challenges of day-to-day business. They will be well placed to develop a corporate and personal ethical brand which will stand them in good stead in developing new commercial strategies for their companies and personal development opportunities for themselves. The Masterclass series should add another string to the leaders’ bow, effectively raising them to a leadership class of their own.

Methodology

Experiential Virtual: Training sessions are designed to be interactive. What makes persons learn profoundly and sustainably is what they engage in. We use a minimized time of teaching intervention and maximize their learning impact by providing short orientation inputs, usually bringing a concept and at least one (mental) tool together, then either an immediate exercise or real implementation for individual / group engagement.

Best for

Senior executives Managers and leaders who want to enhance their overall performance and create an engaged, productive team and organizational culture

MESSAGE FROM

Our Founder

I believe that those of us who are privileged enough to be educated, healthy, and part of powerful networks should not be doing easy things. The only way to justify our privilege is to do the hard things that society demands of us — to solve tough problems and create opportunities for others. I launched The Room to bring the most ambitious ‘doers’ together to do these hard things that will change the world. I welcome you to be a part of our story and join this global community as we make history together.
